R.I.P.'s.

It's always tragic when a legend passes away. We immediately get to playing the music and recognizing their work and all that but many people don't appreciate the person, they appreciate the work.

Anybody who wants to do nothing but spread love and peace is a legend to me. I'm too young to actually know what that hype is like. I can't even think of anyone today to compare them to Michael. Maaaaayybe Kanye West or Morrissey. I think Dr. Dre will push 100 million records.

But this is a life where we must appreciate everything we can and cannot touch.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”

100 million.

Twelve years ago today, Christopher "B.I.G. The Hoes Know Me" Wallace was shot. I was only 7 years old when it happened so his death didn't begin to bother me until I become of age to understand the hardcore shit he rapped about. I say I was about 16 when I truly began to appreciate his concepts of suicide and murder and also his syntactical wordplay.

The difference between Hip-Hop and Rap (in my opinion):
The Hip-Hop artist allows you to envision the world he's portraying through his unique metaphors and can deliver a true feeling through his rhetoric (persuasion). Rappers just bullshit around fluid similes and fake ass punchlines with no meaning. Seriously, Can Lil' Wayne's trash compare to the ruggedness of Biggie's "Ready To Die"?

"And if I deceive, she won't take it lightly
She'll invite me, politely, to fight G
And then we lie together, cry together
I swear to God I hope we fuckin die together."

Too much has already been said about my homeboy Heath Ledger for me to say anything. Except sorry for copping your movie on bootleg. What many people forget or choose not to mention, is his performance in Brokeback Mountain. This is the movie where I learned his name. There was a little Hollywood flame about his performance for a short while but it was shortly outlived. Many of my friends could not put their ignorance aside to watch this movie but I recommend it to everyone. I'll always remember Heath as one of the most versatile actors in the game.
Here's a good scene from:
